As an example, we purchased romaine lettuce at a local grocery store. We took that lettuce and applied ozone treated water for 20 seconds. With time lapse photography, you can see that the lettuce became much fuller. The ozone treated lettuce also killed 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, including salmonella and E. coli.

In another study, we did a side by side test with iceberg lettuce, half in one plate and half in another. Only one plate was rinsed with ozone treated water. During the time lapse, you can see the treated lettuce becoming fuller and improving in appearance and health.

Eco Safe - Safe Without Chemicals

Have you ever noticed how fresh and clean it smells after a thunderstorm? That smell is ozone at work. When electricity is mixed with Oxygen, it creates ozone. It is considered a breakthrough in food safety, because it can kill any pathogen. In 2001, the USDA approved ozone as an organic way to disinfect.

Michael Elliot, the president of Eco Safe, says "Ozone treated water is 3,001 times faster than chlorine at disinfecting water." Mr. Elliot goes on to say "It's completely green." Eco Safe's process is simple: it runs electricity into water. Water in an ozonated state is mother nature's way of cleaning. Ashlie Gibbons of Whole Foods says that it is a "win-win" situation, "green", improving shelf life as well as disinfecting. Whole Foods currently has Eco Safe systems in 5 locations.

Ozone - the Most Effective Killer of Germs

For decades, Chlorine has been used to clean filthy fruit, such as grapefruit, of dirt and pesticides. However, this leaves a chemical residue which harms the body.

Here is another idea. Do you ever notice how fresh the air is after a thunderstorm? That’s because it’s been purified. In a storm, O2 is split into two, causing O3 , or ozone. Ozone is 3,000 times more effective than chlorine. It can be used to clean poultry, beef, and vegetables. The ozone gas can be pumped into water and sprayed over fruits, and the same water can be recycled and used again. Ozone, while new in the United States, has been used successfully for decades in Europe and Japan.

Save Money With Eco Safe

We can show you how a grocery store can increase profit simply by using our Eco Safe ozone system without adding any more employees or products. Ozone is created naturally after a thunderstorm. Have you ever noticed how fresh it smells? That is ozone occurring in nature, instantly killing bacteria. We can easily re-create this by passing oxygen over an electrical spark. This is a very unique process, without any harmful byproducts.

Ozone is the silver bullet for food and water disinfectants.

Ozone is safe for humans and animals. It is good for you and can help prevent colds and flus caused by viruses.

Just by turning on the water and rinsing your produce, you will kill 99.9% of the bacteria and viruses, the culprits that cause decay and odor in rotten food. When you slow down the decay, you add to the shelf life of your produce and the produce looks better. In a survey of grocery stores that used Eco Safe, one store cut their waste by 56%. Just imagine the money you will save; Stop throwing your money away.

One Step Solution

At a meat packing plant in Southern California, here is their 7 step process for cleaning.

  1. With hot water and a garden hose, soak the surface.
  2. Take a bucket of stringent chemicals and scrub the surface.
  3. Rinse off with regular water.
  4. 2nd person prepares from dispenser
  5. Apply foam to the surface
  6. Once again scrub the surface
  7. Rinse.

The Eco-Jet way is one step, all natural, and completely safe. To test the effectiveness of each method, we took swabs of two equally dirty surfaces before and after they were cleaned. With the first method, the bacteria count went from 22,000,000 to 7,800. With the Eco-Jet, spraying in the same manner, the bacteria count decreased from 22,000,000 to 30 in just 5 minutes compared to the 30 minutes it took to clean using a normal method. The Eco-Jet can cut labor costs in half and eliminate most chemicals. This means thousands of dollars a month in savings.
